The heart of the Mother City

Cape Town is called the Mother City due to its harbour, welcoming the incoming ships and supply them with fresh produce. A bit like we welcome our guests and how happy we are to serve you. Right in the middle we are situated in the very convenient and safe living area called Oranjezicht. This peaceful residential area sits on the lower slopes of Table Mountain, one of the seven natural wonders of the world. We are surrounded by the impressive silhouettes of Devils Peak, Table Mountain and Lions Head and are perched neatly in what is called the city bowl. Das Himmelblau is within walking distance of the trendy Kloof Street and the lively Bree and Long Street. The Company Gardens and Greenmarket Square are also only a stone’s throw away. If you want to visit the Bo-Kaap, the chic Cape Quarter or Kirstenbosch Gardens and the famous Waterfront you are a mere 15 minutes by car, Uber or taxi. And if it’s beaches you are after, such as Clifton or Camps Bay, they are also just minutes away. All in all, Himmelblau is in a beautiful and convenient location you yourself might have picked for your home too.
