From the moment you arrive, you will have a personal welcome to Himmelblau, from us, the owners Katrin and Claus-Steffen Braun. Our long lasting love affair with Cape town goes back at least 25 years and many visits to South Africa.
2004 we spent a 14 months Sabbatical and drove our little City Golf 37.000km through South Africa, Namibia and Botswana to Victoria Falls and back.

Many years before, we left our hometown Frankfurt in search of new experiences and exciting challenges. Our drive for new fascinating countries and work opportunities led us to Ukraine and Dubai – amazing places full of diversity of different cultures and history. But it was only in Cape Town that our dreams were truly and fulfilled.

Yes, it is the pleasure of enjoying a wonderful climate and beautiful nature that made us feel instantly at home. But it also is a commitment to live with the pleasant and the challenging so close to each other. We are proud to say we not only settled in well, we are fully integrated into our community taking part in the social duty of sharing and caring which is our nature.

Of course we stay in touch with our families and friends but a positive metropolis like Cape Town hardly makes us feel homesick. After all we are living in one of the most beautiful places in the world. You can tell that we know and love this country, you will easily be hooked on like we still are.
